Biography

Yoav is a passionate, dedicated, and self-motivated professional from Israel with over 7 years of successful experience as a Head Grower and Director of Cultivation in Lesotho and the US. Possess a strong knowledge of grow room set-up, operations, and process optimization as well as a diverse understanding of facilities requirements, climactic controls, nutrients, pest prevention, flowering cycles, and overall grow management. Consistently recognized for improving systems, streamlining processes, and achieving increased crop yields. Familiar with modern automation platforms and other cultivation technologies.

Consulted on multiple projects in South Africa, Israel and Portugal. Worked on SOP development and implementation, facility lay-out design, cultivation plans, IPM regiments, post-harvest processes as well as potential global off-take agreements. Helped to prepare staff and facility for GACP and GMP audits.

2019-2021 | Eurocan (Lesotho) – Director of Cultivation

Helped to build a successful cannabis cultivation business from the ground up including all aspects of facilities design, budgeting, staffing, SOP development, and workflow optimization. Ensured continued compliance with GACP and EUGMP standards and regulations and kept accurate records and documentation. Oversaw the hiring, training, and supervision of 15 full-time workers plus another 20 seasonal employees. Efficiently managed plant care strategies, watering and feeding schedules, harvesting, trimming, genetics sourcing, propagation, sanitation, security, waste disposal, and quality control. Coordinated IPM programs and monitored and analyzed data collected by automation systems in order to optimize crop yields. Planned and implemented successful strategies to streamline production operations, increase the number of plants to 9000 over a 2-year period, and achieve 500kg+ of flower per harvest.
